
Sedalia Police Reports for October 11, 2024

Thursday evening, Officers conducted a vehicle stop at East 16th Street and south Ohio Avenue. Officers made contact with the driver and the passenger, and checked their information with Dispatch. Dispatch confirmed the passenger had an active warrant with no bond. Kyle Keithley, 37, of Sedalia, was arrested for his warrant from Probation and Parole on charges of felony Possession of a Controlled Substance.* Keithley was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked.

Thursday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to a theft report in the 200 block of East Walnut Street. Zachary Bass-Hunter stated someone gained access to his EBT account and took their credits.
Wednesday night, Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of North Stewart Avenue for a call for service, regarding a noise complaint. While enroute, Officers could hear music coming from several blocks away. After Officers arrived on scene, they told the intoxicated suspect to turn the music down, but the suspect refused. Garcia Salvador, 68, of Sedalia, was issued a city summons for Loud Noise (Vehicle Horns, Radios, Animals). The music was turned off.
Thursday afternoon, Officers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle with expired registration. The initial stop took place in the area of West 1st Street and West Avenue. The suspect failed to stop for Officers, promoting a pursuit to be initiated. Soon after, the suspect left his vehicle parked in the roadway, and fled on foot. Officers chased the suspect on foot, and successful placed the individual under arrest. The suspect was discovered to be driving with a revoked license, and had contraband in the vehicle. Jeffrey Jay Temple Jr., 39, of Sedalia, was arrested on charges of Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign, Failure to Register with the DOR, Displaying the License Plates of Another Person, Failure to Property Display License Plates, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a Controlled Substance, felony Driving While Revoked, and felony Resisting Arrest. Temple was transported to the Pettis County jail to be placed on a 24-hour hold. The report notes Temple’s physical condition as “fair” due to being “physically disabled.”
