On the evening of Thursday, October 8th, Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of North Heard in regard to a burglary which had occurred overnight. Someone had broken into the victim's home and fired several shots out of their window. They also fired shots at the victim's windshield. Overall, the suspect caused approximately $620 in damage. The victim stated they would like to press charges if the suspect is identified.


 

Early Saturday morning, a car was stopped for stopping past the stop line several times and stopping up into an intersection on East Third and Lamine. The car also made several wide turns, including going into the westbound side of the road turning eastbound on East Third and South Lamine. The stop was initiated at about East Third and South Washington Avenue. After an investigation, it was determined that the driver was intoxicated. Tara L. Davis, 37, of Sedalia, was placed under arrest and a search of the car revealed marijuana and pills. Davis was transported to a hospital and then to the Pettis County Jail to be booked in on state charges of Driving While Intoxicated and Possession of Marijuana, pending release to a sober person.


 

A car was stopped at West Fifth and South Warren Avenue Sunday morning for having a headlight out, plate lights out, and failing to maintain the right half of the roadway. After an investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated and in possession of marijuana. Jorge Luis Marcos, 22, of Sedalia, was arrested, transported to the Sedalia Police Headquarters, and then transferred to the Pettis County Jail. Marcos was booked on a state charge of Driving While Intoxicated and Possession of Marijuana, pending release to a sober person.


 

Monday morning, Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of East Boonville Road in regard to an assault which had recently taken place. The victim alleged the suspect had swung a metal bar at them, which the suspect denied. No injuries were caused. In the course of the call, it was discovered that the suspect had an active warrant For Failure to Appear from the City of Higginsville. Caitlin Samantha Lee Soehren, 24, of Leasburg, Missouri, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail to await extradition. Bond on the warrant was $250.00.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 1400 block of East 12th Street Monday morning in regard to theft that occurred at some point over the weekend. Jessica Perry reported that someone had stolen a catalytic converter and automatic starter out of one vehicle, and the catalytic converter out of another. Overall, the combined approximate value of the stolen items totals to $600.00.


 

Monday afternoon, Sedalia Police responded to the 600 block of East 9th for a domestic disturbance. Officers investigated the disturbance and found evidence an assault had occurred. The primary aggressor, Charles R. Card, 36, of Sedalia, was determined and an arrest was made on felony charges of Domestic Assault in the Third Degree. Card was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24 hour hold.
