Saturday morning, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a lane violation near West Broadway Boulevard and Thompson Boulevard. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. Javier Martinez Jr., 36, of Sedalia, was arrested on a charge of Driving While Intoxicated. Martinez was transported to the Sedalia Police Department, where he provided a breath sample that showed his BAC to be above 0.08. Martinez was issued a UTT, fingerprinted, and released to a sober driver.


 

Officers responded to the 400 block of East Boonville Street for an attempted vehicle theft. Travis Gamber reported the vehicle had been damaged by the suspect, who fled on foot before the arrival of Officers. Information for the report was collected.


 

Monday night, Officers responded to the 2200 block of South Harrison Avenue in reference to a 911 hang up. Upon arrival, Officers determined the matter was a domestic disturbance. Officers were unable to determine a primary physical aggressor, and a 12- hour log was made for documentation.


 

On the morning of October 9th, Officers conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Broadway and Sunset. The vehicle had failed to display its registration. A report was generated in reference to the incident, but no other information was released to the press.


 

Friday morning, Officers conducted a traffic stop near East Broadway Boulevard and South Hancock Avenue on a vehicle they had observed speeding. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the deriver was intoxicated. The suspect was arrested and transported to the Sedalia Police Department, where he provided a breath sample that showed his BAC to be above 0.08. Daniel Sheremata, 20, of Sedalia, was booked in on a charge of Driving While Intoxicated (Prior Offender) at the Pettis County Jail.

Sedalia Police were dispatched to 2510 Albert Lee in reference to a 911 call of someone harming subjects at the residence Monday night. Officers arrived, and located the caller outside of the residence. The caller attempted to flee on foot from Officers. Officers detained the subject briefly, and then requested PCAD’s assistance. It was determined the subject was having a mental health issue. The subject was transported from the scene by PCAD to the BRHC for evaluation.


 

Monday morning, Officers were dispatched to a store at 3201 West Broadway Boulevard for a report of theft. Officer identified the suspect and placed her under arrest. Angela Jean Monteer, 52, of Sedalia, was arrested on a charge of Stealing. Monteer awaits a future court date.


 

On the morning of October 10th, Officers were dispatched to the Pettis County Jail to take a theft report. Orval G. Hudson reported a theft from the 400 block of East Harvey Boulevard. Hudson stated someone living in the garage of his house stole a large list of items while he was detained at the Pettis County Jail.


 

Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with expired registration near the intersection of West 14th Street and South Limit Avenue on the evening of October 9th. Officers discovered an occupant of the vehicle had several warrants for his arrest. Kwan Tavro Watkins Jr., 19, of Sedalia, was arrested for his Failure to Appear warrants on original charges of Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Maintaining Financial Responsibility, Displaying the License Plates of Another Person, Failure to Drive on the Right Half of the Roadway, two charges of Speeding (26 Miles an Hour or More), No Seat Belt, Driving While Revoked, Failure to Register a Motor Vehicle, Driving While Suspended, and Driving While Intoxicated. His total cash only bond was set at $1550.00. Watkins was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked.


 

Monday morning, Officers were dispatched to the area of West 7th Street and South Vermont Avenue to investigate a report of animals running at large. Officers identified the owner of the dog. The owner’s dog was taken by Animal Control after it became aggressive. The owner had a felony warrant for her arrest from Morgan County on a felony charge of Non-Support of a Minor Child. Trina Lynn Harvey, 42, of Sedalia, was arrested for her Failure to Appear warrant, pending a cash only bond of $500.00. The report does not mention is Harvey was cited for Animal At Large.
