Sedalia Police Reports for October 21, 2021

On the afternoon of October 14th, Officers were dispatched to the Bothwell Regional Health Center for a reported sex crime that occurred in the vicinity of the 900 block of South Quincy Avenue.

Wednesday morning, an Officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of West Broadway Boulevard and South Barrett Avenue. A computer check of the driver showed they an active warrant form Texas County for Careless and Imprudent Driving. When the warrant was confirmed, the driver was placed under arrest. Terrell S. Willis, 34, of Sedalia, was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where they were given a bond of $250 cash only.

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of West Broadway Boulevard and South Barrett Avenue Wednesday morning. A computer check of the driver's information showed they did not have a valid driver's license. Sara J. Hathaway, 43, of Sedalia, was released with a court summons for No Operator's License.

Wednesday morning, Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of West Broadway Boulevard and South Warren Avenue. A computer check of the driver showed they had an active warrant for Failure to Appear with an original charges of Brakes Not in Good Working Condition. When the warrant was confirmed, Cherelle T. Staten, 34, of Springfield, was placed under arrest and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Staten was given a bond of $358.50.

Wednesday afternoon, the Sedalia Police Department took a report of found property from Esther A. Degraff. Degraff found a cell phone in the 400 block of West 3rd Street.

Wednesday morning, Officers responded to the 1100 block of South Moniteau Avenue in reference to a theft. Cindy Cramer reported a Halloween yard decoration had been stolen from a residence in the area. The value of the decoration was estimated at approximately $200. No suspects have been identified at this time.

Officers responded to the 1200 block of West 11th Street in reference to found property Wednesday morning. The caller reported a scooter that had been abandoned in a nearby alley for several days. The scooter was transported to the Sedalia Police Department, where it was entered as found property.

On the evening of October 17th, Officers responded to First Choice Auto, 2934 Clinton Road, in reference to a theft. The wheels and tires were stolen off of a customer's car while it was parked in the lot of the business. The value of the stolen items was estimated at approximately $800. No suspects have been identified at this time.
