Wednesday evening, Officers responded to a property damage call in the 1900 block of West Main. Dakota Lynn Pressy reported their vehicle's back passenger tire had been slashed. There is one potential suspect, but he has not been contacted yet.


 

Early Monday morning, Officers responded to the 700 block of West 16th for a subject sleeping in the driver's seat of a vehicle with the engine running. The suspect was contacted and determined to be intoxicated, and was also in possession of marijuana. Sterling Sellou Ramaul Fitts, 25, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and Possession of Marijuana. Fitts was transported to the Pettis County Jail.


 

Wednesday morning, Officers responded to the 2400 block of South Woodlawn Drive for a report of found property. Juanita Gattner told Officers that she found a lawn mower in her back yard that did not belong to her. The lawn mower was taken to the Sedalia Police Department for safekeeping.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to check on a person in the roadway yelling at cars near West 16th Street and South Limit Avenue Wednesday evening. The subject was found and contacted at 16th and Warren. Ryan E. Moore, 28, of Sedalia, was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Moore was placed on a 24 hour hold, and his bond and court date were to be determined at the time of the report.


 

Wednesday morning, Officers observed a gold Dodge Avenger with no plates in the area of 24th Street and South Grand. Officers initiated a traffic stop in the 600 block of West 24th Street. Officers made contact with the suspect, who provided information which did not come back on file. After further investigation, Officers were able to identify the suspect, who had a revoked driver's license and multiple active warrants for his arrest. Dispatch sent for confirmation on the three Pettis County Warrants, and one Parole Violation. Ahmad J. Dupree, 28, Homeless, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Dupree's bond for the 3 Pettis County warrants was set at $21,500.00 cash or surety. The bond was set at none for the Parole Violation warrant. State charges of Driving While Revoked are being submitted to the state Prosecutor's Office.


 

Sedalia Police made contact with Christopher R. Bennett, 28, Homeless, at the Bothwell Regional Health Center in the 600 block of East 14th Street Wednesday afternoon. Bennett was intoxicated and unable to care for himself. Bennett was taken into protective custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he remained on a 12 hour protective custody hold.
