Monday evening, Officers conducted a traffic stop on North Engineer Avenue north of East Tower on a truck that had an expired temporary tag. The driver was intoxicated by a combination of alcohol and drugs. He was also found to be in possession of a controlled substance. Blake Aaron Banner, 26, of Sedalia, was arrested on a charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance and felony Driving While Intoxicated (Aggravated Offender). Banner was placed on a 24 hour hold at the Pettis County Jail.


 

Officers responded to the 500 block of South Kentucky Avenue on Monday evening for a reference to a possible violation of a court order. Information was collected from Dakota Lairmore, and no charges are being sought at this time.

On the morning of October 12th, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle because it had improper registration. The stop took place near South Engineer Avenue and East 7th Street. The driver was intoxicated by drugs. Brandon James Miller, 42, of Sedalia, was arrested on a charge of Driving While Intoxicated (Drugs). Miller was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked and released.


 

Monday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to a fast food restaurant at 2701 West Broadway Boulevard in reference to stolen property. Caleb J. Howerton reported a wallet had been stolen. Officers gathered information and submitted a report.


 

Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle for improper lane usage on the morning of October 14th. The driver was found to be impaired by drugs. Allen Wayne Savage II, 51, of Sedalia, was arrested on a charge of Driving While Intoxicated (Drugs). Savage was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked and released.


 

Officers responded to the 400 block of North Prospect Avenue last Thursday afternoon in reference to a possible theft. Morgan Ann Newland reported she had sent approximately $2800 over the internet in an attempt to rent a property. It was determined the person she was communicating with was not the owner of the property. A report was made of the incident, the suspect has not been identified at this time.
