Sedalia Police Reports For October 28, 2021

Tuesday morning, Officers stopped a vehicle near the intersection of North State Fair Boulevard and West Main Street for having expired registration. A computer check through Dispatch revealed the operator's driving privilege was suspended under the abuse and lose law. Sherwood Kearby Limback, 54, of Sedalia, was issued a summons for Driving While Suspended and given a court date.

Wednesday morning, Officers were dispatched to the 900 block of East Broadway Boulevard regarding a violation of a court order. The case is being forwarded to the state prosecutor's office for consideration.

Sedalia Police were dispatched on a call of a vehicle left late Wednesday night. Rachel Gaylord reported someone known to her took her 2013 Toyota Camry from the 1100 block of South Moniteau Avenue without her permission and has refused to return the vehicle. The vehicle has not been located at the time of the report.

Officers conducted a traffic stop on an SUV without a front license plate Wednesday morning near the 3500 block of West Broadway Boulevard. A check through Dispatch showed the driver's license was suspended and he had an active Benton County warrant. Osvaldo Sebastian, 19, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Suspended and on his Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of Speeding. Sebastian was transported to the Pettis County Jail and booked, with a cash or surety bond of $200.

Wednesday morning, Officers were dispatched to the lobby of the Police Department in reference to a domestic disturbance that occurred in the 500 block of South Kentucky Avenue. Julie Merrell said that during a dispute with her mother, her mother took her phone to prevent her from making a call to 911. Charges for Tampering With a Witness are being submitted to the prosecutor's office.

On the evening of October 24th, Officers recognized a subject near the 300 block of West Broadway Boulevard that was believed to have an active warrant. Officers made contact with the subject, who had two active Pettis County warrants. Joseph Elmer Fore, 39, of Sedalia, was arrested for his Failure to Appear warrants for Driving While Suspended and Driving While Intoxicated. Fore was transported to the Pettis County Jail and booked on a $780.50 cash only bond.

Wednesday morning, Officers were dispatched to the 1800 block of South Ingram Avenue for a found property call. The items found were determined to have been stolen from the 600 block of East 18th Street during a previous theft. There are no suspects at this time.

Tuesday evening, Officers were dispatched to the Probation and Parole Office, 205 Thompson Road, for a warrant check. Contact was made with the suspect, and her information was provided to Dispatch. They confirmed she had a Pettis County warrant for her arrest with a $7,500 cash or surety bond on an original charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance. Debra Robichaud, 43, of Sedalia, was booked at the Pettis County Jail on the warrant.

Sedalia Police responded to the 800 block of East 12th Street in reference to a theft from a vehicle. Upon arrival, Officers met with Kenny Mullis, who stated someone had entered his vehicle during the overnight hours and stole his wallet that contained several personal items. At the time of the report, the suspect has not been identified.

Officers observed a subject known to have an active warrant at the Econo Lodge, 3501 West Broadway Boulevard Monday afternoon. The warrant was issued by the United States Marshals Service for the original charge of Distribution of Cocaine. Contact was made with Demetrius Nathaniel Gray, 37, of an unknown address. The no bond full US extradition warrant was confirmed. Gray was placed under arrest and transported to the Pettis County Jail.
