On October 1st, The Sedalia Police Department discovered that an individual tampered with physical evidence in the 2400 block of Stacey Lane during an active investigation back in September of this year. Charges against the suspect are being requested with the Pettis County Prosecutor's Office.


 

Monday evening, Officers responded to the Bothwell Regional Health Center in reference to a trespassing report. Upon arrival, Officers were informed that a patient was being uncooperative and refusing to leave. Charles Edward Moore, 66, of Sedalia, was arrested and issued a municipal summons for Trespassing and Resisting Arrest.


 

On the night of September 30th, Officers took a report in the lobby in reference to harassment occurring in the 300 block of North Depp Avenue. The victim stated she was being harassed via messages and being followed. A suspect has been identified, but no contact has been made at this time.


 

Sedalia Police initiated a traffic stop on a car near West Broadway Boulevard and Granny Lane Monday morning for the vehicle not having a driver's side mirror or inside rearview mirror. The registered owner was also a revoked driver. A check through Dispatch showed the driver was the owner and his license status was revoked. Wayne Michael Looney, 36, of Sedalia, was arrested, taken to the Police Department, and released with a city ticket for Driving While Revoked.


 

Monday afternoon, Officers stopped a vehicle in the 1800 block of West Main Street for a moving violation. A search of the vehicle yielded drug paraphernalia. It was seized for destruction, and no charges are being requested.


 

An Officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of West Broadway Boulevard and South Beacon Avenue Monday afternoon. A computer check of the driver showed her license was suspended. Kristin L. Hensley, 28, of Sedalia, was issued a citation for Driving While Suspended and released.


 

The Sedalia Police Department received a tip that a male in the 700 block of East Broadway Boulevard had warrants for his arrest. He was located in the 900 block of East Broadway Boulevard Monday morning. A check through Dispatch showed he had three warrants issued for his arrest. Two were from Pettis County for two charges of Domestic Assault in the 3rd Degree with a combined bond of $6,000 cash or surety. He also had a Sedalia warrant for Failure to Appear on original charges of Trespassing with bond set at $60 cash only. Jesse Rodger Marquess Jr., 42, Homeless, was arrested when his warrants were confirmed and transported to the Pettis County Jail.


 

Monday afternoon, an Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near the intersection of West Broadway Boulevard and South Warren Avenue. A computer check of the driver showed that his license was revoked and he had two active warrants from Pettis County for Driving While Revoked. When the warrants were confirmed active, Michael L. Taylor, 50, of Sedalia, was placed under arrest and transported to the Pettis County Jail with bond set at $5,000 cash or surety.
