This article is compiled from the Sedalia Police Department crime reports. 


Friday night, Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of South Engineer Avenue for a theft report. Upon arrival, Officers gathered the necessary information to generate a report and request charges.


Tuesday morning, Officers spoke with Sebastian B. Lamport in reference to a theft. Lamport reported a theft occurred at the Casey’s store, 1601 East Broadway Boulevard. He was working at the store when a customer stole his cell phone from the counter.

Monday morning, Officers conducted a traffic stop on South Ohio Avenue and West 20th Street for failing to maintain the right half of the roadway. During the course of the investigation, it was discovered the driver had a revoked driving status*. He was also intoxicated. During the inventory of the vehicle, methamphetamine and prescription pills were located. The subject was transported to the Bothwell Regional Health Center for a blood draw, and then was taken to the Pettis County Jail. Ron Thomas Eddleman, 42, of Sedalia, was booked in on charges of Possession of a Dangerous Drug (two counts), felony Driving While Suspended, and felony Driving While Intoxicated.


Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop Monday morning in the area of West Broadway Boulevard and South Barrett Avenue for multiple moving violation. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated, and had a revoked driving status. Juan Pascual Blas, 54, of Sedalia, was arrested for felony Driving While Intoxicated** and felony Driving While Revoked.


Officers stopped a vehicle near the intersection of West 16th Street and South Ohio Avenue after observing a vehicle fail to signal a turn. A passenger in the vehicle as found to have two active warrants for her arrest. The warrants were from Pettis County after Failing to Appear on original charges of felony Possession of a Controlled Substance. Raime E. Bain, 33, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to BRHC for a fit for confinement check. After passing, Bain was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be held with on bond on either warrant.


*Eddleman is currently on probation for a different charge of Driving While Suspended. Eddleman was placed on probation for 5 years under standard conditions of probation and parole including a Victim Impact Panel, treatment programs, abstinence from alcohol and drugs, consenting to search by law enforcement, and a prison tour, along with court costs and a mandatory contribution to the Law Enforcement Relief Fund.

**Pascual Blas had been previously convicted of Driving While Intoxicated in 2004, 2009, and 2012. A previous conviction of Driving While Revoked in 2016 was also a felony, which carried a two-year sentence with the DOC.
