This article is compiled from the Sedalia Police Department crime reports.


 

Late Wednesday night, Officers responded to the area of the 600 block of North Stewart Avenue in regards to a disturbance with a weapon.  Officers made contact with all parties involved.  The suspect was arguing with a victim, when the suspect grabbed a firearm and shot it toward the victim.  The victim was uninjured.  Samantha R. Gravitt, 32, of Sedalia, was arrested on charges of Property Damage in the 1st Degree, Endangering the Welfare of a Child in the 1st Degree, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Armed Criminal Action, and felony Domestic Assault in the 1st Degree. Gravitt was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked.


 

Officers stopped a car in the area of West 3rd Street and South Kentucky Avenue.  The car was stopped because it had no front plate, no plate light, and illegal window tinting. Officers contacted the driver, who was the registered owner.  The front side window tint measured at 5%.  Officers are requesting a state charge of Vision Obstructing Material on the driver, who was not named in the report.


Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 1900 block of South Montgomery Avenue in reference to an assault on Wednesday night.  Information was gathered from Austin A. Boatcher, a report was generated, and charges of Assault in the 3rd Degree were requested.

Wednesday night, Officers were dispatched to the 3100 block of Clinton Road in reference to found property.  Dennis Gavrischuk spoke with Officers about the matter. The property was gathered, entered into evidence, and a report was generated.


Wednesday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to the area of the 300 block of North State Fair Boulevard in reference to found property.  Officers took custody of the property and placed it into the property room, marked for destruction.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 400 block of East Harvey Street in regards to a vehicle theft.  Orval Gene Hudson Jr., reported a vehicle had been stolen.  Officers gathered information for a report.


Wednesday morning, Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of South Washington Avenue in regards to a property damage report.  On arrival, Officers made contact with the owner of the property, Brittany Suanne Johnson.  Officers gathered information to file a report.
