Sedalia Police Reports for September 4, 2024

Tuesday night, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that had no rear license plate. The stop took place near West Main Street and South Vermont Avenue. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. Alexis Ann Sisemore, 24, of Sedalia, was arrested on a charge of Driving While Intoxicated (Drugs). Sisemore was transported to the BRHC for a blood draw, and then taken to the Pettis County Jail to be booked and released.
Early Wednesday morning, Officers responded to the 1200 block of South Limit Avenue and the 1400 block of West 4th Street to make contact with subjects from a physical domestic disturbance. A primary physical aggressor could not be determined, and information was gathered for a 12-hour log.
Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop at West 15th Street and South Grand Avenue on a vehicle because it had expired license plates. During the investigation, it was found the driver did not have a valid license. Araceli Smith, 23, of Sedalia, was arrested on a charge of Driving While Suspended. Smith was released on scene with a summons.
Tuesday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to the Police Station lobby to take a report of a violation of a court order. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with the victim, who stated she has ex-parte against her ex-boyfriend and he has been trying to contact her from the Pettis County Jail.
Donnie Morris came into the lobby of the Police Department on Tuesday afternoon. Morris wanted to turn in a gaming system he found in the roadway in the area of East 5th Street and South Emmet Avenue.
Wednesday morning, Officers were dispatched to a hit and run accident in progress. The accident occurred at the intersection of West Broadway Boulevard and Industrial Drive. Officers were assisted by members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Ditte Renee Raquelle Barnes, 59, of Sedalia, was arrested for Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Failure to Register with the DOR, and Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility. Barnes was transported to the Pettis County Jail.
