Sedalia Police Reports for September 6, 2024

On the afternoon of September 4th, Sedalia Police were dispatched to a business at 3201 West Broadway Boulevard in reference to a theft. Karizma M. Norman, 22, of Marshall, was arrested for Shoplifting.
Friday morning, Police received a call of property damage from the 1600 block of South Vermont Avenue. Officers spoke to Jeffrey Allen Butler, who stated the damage occurred about a half an hour before the call. The suspect was caught on camera knocking over two motorcycles, causing damage to both, as well as a tarp. Butler wished to pursue charges.
Wednesday night, a car was stopped because it had no license plates. The car was stopped in the area of West Broadway Boulevard and South Kentucky Avenue. The driver had a suspended license, no proof of insurance, no registration, and appeared to be intoxicated by drugs. Jerry Jackson Jr., 30, of Sedalia, was arrested on charges of Driving While Intoxicated (Drugs), Driving While Suspended, Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility, and Failure to Register with the DOR. Jackson was booked and released at the Pettis County Jail.
Thursday evening, Officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of West 3rd Street in reference to a hit and run crash. After a short investigation on scene, the suspect was located near Highway HH and Cedar Drive about fifteen minutes later. Brandon T. Ashcraft, 41, of Sedalia, was arrested for Leaving the Scene of an Accident. Information was gathered, and a report was completed.
Officers were dispatched to a local hotel, 103 West 4th Street, for a report of property damage Thursday morning. Staff reported damage had been done to a guest’s vehicle in the overnight hours. Information was gathered, the damage was documented, and a report was completed.
Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near West Broadway Boulevard and South State Fair Boulevard. It was determined the driver’s license was revoked. Lyoniel Jack Meyers Jr., 70, of Sedalia, was arrested on a charge of Driving While Suspended. Meyers was transported to the Pettis County Jail to booked and released.
Wednesday afternoon, Officers responded to 3050 South Limit regarding a motor vehicle crash. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with Marvin R. Fielding. Officers investigated an incident where a vehicle had struck the building. A report was completed.
