Sedalia Police Reports: Morning of Wednesday, May 9
Yesterday morning, Sedalia Police went to the 900 Block of Winchester to check on a subject. Sedalia Police found 55-year old Alvin Slade dead and there were no signs of foul play.
Sedalia Police went to the 1100 Block of East 13th for a disturbance. Two men were fighting in the front yard and one man would not let go of the other when Police ordered him to. The man that refused to let go was sprayed with pepper spray in his eyes and subdued. Sedalia Police found the two men were related and Cody Kirby was arrested for domestic assault in the 2nd and Keith Kirby was arrested for domestic assault in the 3rd.
Early this morning at 2:05, Sedalia Police received an alarm call from Stereo Clinic at 424 South Osage and Sedalia Police found that someone forced entry into the building and caused property damage, but nothing was stolen.
The Open Door Thrift Store reported to Sedalia Police that a window on the west side of the building was broken and cash was missing from a drawer.
A man in the 1200 Block of South Kentucky reported to Sedalia Police that his 1996 GMC Sonoma was scratched several times with an unknown object.
Sedalia Police arrested Raymond Shaver for a Benton County failure to appear, bond set at $6,500 cash/surety and a Cooper County failure to appear, bond set at $550 cash only.
Sedalia Police arrested Carl Sumey for a Miller County probation violation, bond set at $508.38 cash and a Cole County failure to appear, bond set at $400 cash/surety.
Sedalia Police arrested Kayla Miller for a failure to appear, no vehicle license bond set at $88.50.
Sedalia Police arrested Bradley Lee for a city charge of failure to appear on driving while suspended and possession of meth.
Sedalia Police arrested Jessica Pruitt for a Pettis County failure to appear for a theft.
