Sedalia Schedules Winter Storm Debris Clean-up
City of Sedalia crews are continuing to work at removing tree limbs and branches from public property and rights-of-way resulting from the recent winter storm.
A press release from the City indicates that as a way to assist in clean-up efforts, city-wide winter storm debris clean-up will begin on February 4.
Residents who have tree limbs and downed branches should make sure the debris is moved to the right-of-way along the curb for collection based on the schedule listed below:

Week of February 4: South of Broadway (U.S. Highway 50) and east of Ohio to the City Limits.
Week of February 11: North of Broadway (U.S. Highway 50) and east of Ohio to the City Limits.
Week of February 19: South of Broadway (U.S. Highway 50) and west of Ohio to the City Limits.
Week of February 25: North of Broadway (U.S. Highway 50) and west of Ohio to the City Limits.
The City says that crews will be picking up materials at the curb and along the rights-of-way between 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Collection will be weather dependent and may be delayed due to snow or icy conditions. A map of the debris collection schedule can be found here.
It was noted that residents can also take tree and yard debris to the City’s Materials Management Site located at 27882 Highway U from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
The Materials Management Site is open daily, Monday - Sunday, with the exception of City holidays.
