Storm Drainage Improvement Project Under Way on Liberty Park Boulevard

Work on the 2021-181D Storm Drainage Improvements Project – Area 8 (Liberty Park Blvd) began Monday, according to the City of Sedalia.

The contractor was originally allotted 60 days to complete the project; however, additional work has been added to the scope. At this time, the project is expected to take approximately 90 days to finish, which translates to a mid-February finish date.

Residents can expect crews working in the project area throughout the duration of construction.

While Liberty Park Boulevard will generally remain open, there may be brief lane restrictions or temporary closures as needed, to safely complete the work.

After the project is complete, angle parking will be implemented in the area to allow for more parking on Liberty Park Boulevard.
