The Sedalia Street Department will be completing roadway maintenance and resurfacing of N. Engineer Ave. from East Saline Street, south to the Union Pacific rail crossing, November 1 - 9.

The City of Sedalia says sidewalks will remain open to pedestrian traffic throughout the street maintenance project.

Motorists planning to travel through the area during the construction period, are encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid delays due to lane restrictions or
road closures.

A press release from the City states preparation work is planned to begin Nov. 1 and continue through Nov. 6.

This prep work includes milling of existing asphalt surfaces and preparing other sections of the street impacted by weather and excessive wear for resurfacing.

As a result, the roadway may be uneven and rough until the new asphalt surface is applied.

Resurfacing will then begin on Nov. 7.

The maintenance work will begin at 7:00 Wednesday morning (Nov 1), and is scheduled to end at 3:30 p.m., November 9.

*The maintenance work is dependent on weather and equipment*
