Sedalia Teen Arrested Following Armed Robbery Investigation
A 17-year old Sedalia resident was arrested on Monday following a recent armed robbery investigation.
The Pettis County Sheriff's Office says that on the evening of Aug. 8, authorities received a report of a 17-year old male having been the victim of a robbery that occurred in rural Smithton.
The victim stated that during the robbery, the suspect fired two shots at him and took the victim's money. There were no reports of injury.
Detectives with the Pettis Co. Sheriff's Office began an investigation and on Monday (Aug 13), arrested 17-year old Trenten Blane Leary, of Sedalia, for the robbery.
A total of six felony charges were filed against Leary, including 1st Degree Robbery, Armed Criminal Action, 3 counts of Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and 2nd Degree Assault.
Leary is currently in the Pettis County Jail on a $200,000 bond.
