The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a northbound 2017 Chevy Equinox, driven by 74-year-old Janice M. Burnett of Smithton, was on Route O, south of Beaman Road around 1 p.m., when the driver lost control of the vehicle and it traveled off the roadway, struck an embankment and a fence, returned to the roadway where it came to rest, blocking Route O.

Burnett suffered moderate injuries and was transported to University of Missouri Hospital by PCAD. She was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the report.
