South Grand Water Main Project Begins Today

Starting today, the City of Sedalia’s Water Department will begin the Grand Avenue Water Main Replacement Project from 24th Street, south to 36th Street.

Work will primarily take place in the greenspace on the east side of the roadway, allowing Grand Avenue to remain open to traffic throughout most of construction.

Only a few short-term lane or road closures will be needed at specific points during the project for safety and equipment access.

Motorists are encouraged to use caution when traveling near construction zones and to remain alert to workers and posted signage. The City said it appreciates the public’s patience as they continue improving Sedalia’s water infrastructure.
