The Sacred Heart Gremlins soccer team traveled to Stover Tuesday evening and won both varsity and junior varsity games.

In the varsity game, sophomore Diego DeLeon was first to score just 50 seconds into the game. About 6 minutes later, Stover scored on a PK to tie the score 1-1. The Bulldogs scored again leading 2-1 with 32 minutes left in the first half.

Junior George Bain sent a beauty to sophomore Josh Pacheco who scored on a header with 7:44 left in the first half. Freshman Yovanny "Gio" Cardenas scored on a chip shot just out of reach for Stover's goalie making the score 3-2 at halftime.

Junior Jackson Manning scored in the second half with just over 17 minutes to play and junior George Bain scored a goal with under 4 minutes left. The final score was 5-2.

Playing half of a JV game, Sacred Heart junior Triston Byerly scored a goal about 7 minutes into the game. Stover answered about 5 minutes later but the Gremlins came out with the victory as sophomore Nathan Lemeshko scored within the last 2 seconds of the game. Gremlins win 2-1.

The Kaysinger soccer tournament starts Monday.
