It's time for our latest addition to the list of amazing people that have been nominated for our Central Bank of Sedalia Unsung Hero.

This month, our nominee was Diane Shipley.  She was nominated by her friend Missy Casdorph.  Here's what she said:

Diane was there for us my son passed away and took on everything, even though she was dealing with a loss, too. Diane and Kevin, her fiance, have stepped up and been there for my kids during this time.

Diane has been a volleyball coach for years.  She worked with the team at State Fair Community College for ten years, Central Methodist for three years, and now she's the coach for Smith Cotton High School.  She's from Green Ridge, but has lived here in Sedalia since the mid eighties.

Diane tries to make a personal touch when it comes to her helping others.  She does realize that things have changed with the pandemic, and tries to do her best to give back to people through her church and her friend group.  She got a little overwhelmed by the nomination, and it's only natural.  Of course, she knows that you  never really know the impact you have on others, and how much you help them just by being there.  Sometimes it's just a friendly smile that can go for miles to help someone out.

Anyway, you can listen to her talk with Randy and hear her express her thanks to her  nominator and her community here.

Make sure you nominate the person you know that does good deeds for others in the West Central Missouri area for our next Unsung Hero here.

Nominatingly yours,
Behka
