On Monday morning (April 22), Pettis County Presiding Commissioner John Meehan held a press conference at the Pettis County Court House and presented a Powerpoint presentation on the Solar Project, which includes plans to put three 25 Kilowatt solar electric systems on the Pettis County Courthouse, the jail and public safety buildings.

The three systems will cost the county just over $41,000 after rebates from KCP&L. The systems will reportedly save the county over $250,000 in electrical cost over the next 25 years.

Do you think that Pettis County should be spending money on solar energy?  Let us know in our poll.
