The Smith-Cotton Tigers played for third place in the state for Class 3 soccer on Saturday morning (Nov. 15) and tied Fort Zumwalt 1-1.

The SC Tigers led for most of the game after Alex Wenner scored in the 67th minute off a pass from Thomas Todd. The goal stood and it looked like SC would claim 3rd place outright, but Fort Zumwalt tied the game up with 21 seconds left in the game. Brenden Mann was able to get the equalizer.

Webster Groves shutout Glendale 1-0 to win the State Championship. Smith-Cotton lost to Webster Groves 4-2 on Friday afternoon.

Congrats to the Smith-Cotton Tigers on tying for 3rd in the state.
