In closed session Monday night (April 14), the Sedalia School District 200 Board of Education approved the hiring of Brennan Scanlon as Smith-Cotton High School boys basketball coach.
The UCM Mules weren't the only local team to win a championship this weekend. Smith-Cotton High School's Team SCREAM won the FIRST Oklahoma Regional robotics championship and are headed to the FIRST Robotics World Championship in St. Louis.
