
Three Injured When 18-wheeler Overturns in Johnson County
An 18-wheeler overturned, injuring three people in Johnson County on Monday.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a southbound 2016 Freightliner was traveling on SE 401 Road, a quarter mile north of SE 412 Road at 11 a.m., when the 18-wheeler traveled off the right side of the roadway and down a hill, then struck a fence and overturned.
The driver, 65-year-old Charles L. Ray of Lexington, suffered minor injuries and refused treatment at the scene.
A 23-year-old passenger, Earl L. Stackhouse of Rich Hill, suffered minor injuries and refused treatment at the scene.
Another passenger, 52-year-old Keith L. Ray, suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center for treatment.
All three were wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
The Freightliner was totaled and towed from the scene by Don's Truck Towing.
