Three Lady Roadrunners on the women's soccer team recently earned postseason All-Region 16 honors in voting done by the coaches.

Freshman forward Sabra Moon and freshman midfielder Ally Woolery were both named First-Team All-Region 16. Sophomore defender Natalie Clarke earned Second-Team All-Region 16. The trio helped the Lady Roadrunners to a program record nine wins. The Lady Roadrunners opened the season with five consecutive wins and was nationally ranked for much of the season.

Moon recorded a team-high seven goals, five of which were game winners. Moon recorded a hat trick against Metropolitan Community College and finished second on the team in points with 14.

"Sabra was our leading scorer, even though she missed at least a third of the season," said Lady Roadrunners Head Coach Jaime Beltran. "When she went out with an injury, she was leading the nation in game-winning goals. She grew so much from last year. She worked hard for this award."

Woolery led the team in points with 16 and finished tied for the team lead in assists with four. Woolery finish second on the team in goals scored with six, two of which were game winners.

"Ally scored some impressive goals for us," said Beltran. "She took a lot of shots from outside the box. She has the ability to place the ball on goal from almost anywhere."

Clarke was a key piece of the Lady Roadrunners' defense. Clarke finished with two assists on the season.

"Natalie played well in the center of our defense," said Beltran. "She also played at left back when we had to make some adjustments. Natalie is a consistent player who makes the right tackle most of the time."
