On adult female and two children, all from Sedalia, were injured Saturday night when the Ford Expedition they were in overturned on US 65 in Saline County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2006 Ford Expedition driven by a 34-year-old male identified by the Patrol as "Billy A. Billy," was southbound on 65, north of County Road 118 at 6:40 p.m. when the driver attempted to pass another vehicle on the highway and the vehicle skidded off the left side of the roadway, overturned and struck a ditch.

A female passenger in the vehicle, 27-year-old Aireen Naich, and a two female juveniles, ages 4 and 7, all from Sedalia, suffered minor injuries and were transported to Fitzgibbon Hospital by Saline County EMS.

All were wearing seat belts, according to the report.

The Expedition was totaled.
