A three-year-old boy was injured in a two-vehicle crash that occurred Wednesday afternoon in Johnson County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that an eastbound 2017 Dodge Durango, driven by 33-year-old Alison G. Soper of Whiteman Air Force Base, was stopped at a stop sign at Route DD and Highway 23 at 3 p.m., when she proceeded forward to make a right-hand turn onto 23 and was struck from the rear by an eastbound 2015 Kia Rio, driven by 21-year-old Seth J. Deschon of Warrensburg.

The three-year-old was a passenger in the Durango, and suffered minor injuries. He was transported by JCAD to Western Missouri Medical Center for treatment.

Both vehicles had minor damage, and the Durango was towed from the scene.
