Two Arrested in Motor Vehicle Theft Case

Pettis County deputies arrested two people on Friday in the 22000 block of Hitaffer Road, around 10:30 a.m. following an investigation into a theft of a motor vehicle from the Sedalia area.

22-year-old Jodie Raye Cornine of Hughesville was being held at the Pettis County Jail, pending the filing of formal charges by the Pettis County Prosecutors's Office for 1st degree tampering with a motor vehicle, felony stealing and resisting arrest.

She also had a warrant for 1st degree tampering with a motor vehicle and possession of a controlled substance, with a total bond amount of $7,000, which stemmed from a separate incident earlier this year.

29-year-old Cody Kiser of Marshall was being held at the Pettis County Jail pending the filing of formal charges for possession of a controlled substance, as well as a Saline County warrant for obstruction with a $2,500 cash bond.
