Sedalia Police were involved in a chase just after noon last Thursday. According to a report, dispatch received info that a subject with an active parole violation warrant was at 1701 E. 4th. Upon arrival, police learned he had just left the area in a vehicle, but was later located and then he fled from officers. The vehicle later crashed in Pettis County near East Tower and New York and the two occupants fled on foot. Charges of resisting arrest and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle are being sought.


 

On Feb. 4, a woman called the SPD and said she was assaulted by a known subject near 10th and Thompson. According to a report, the subject followed her in a vehicle. She later stopped to confront the person and she was attacked. A witness traveling with the victim was able to pull the attacker off of her, and the suspect then left the area. The victim is willing to prosecute, the report said.
