Two Holden residents were injured in a two-vehicle wreck that occurred in Johnson County Monday.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that a southbound 2016 Ford driven by 43-year-old Christy D. Seiz of Holden struck a northbound 2008 Ford driven by 16-year-old Gabriel M. Long of Holden at 5:14 p.m. on Missouri 58 at Northwest 85th Road, as the Long vehicle pulled into the path of the Seiz vehicle from a private drive. The 2008 Ford ended up in a ditch.

Seiz suffered minor injuries and refused treatment on scene, while Long suffered serious injuries and was transported by Life Flight Eagle to Children's Mercy Hospital.

Seiz was wearing a safety device, while Long was not, according to the report. The 2008 Ford was totaled.
