Two people were injured in a one-vehicle accident that occurred late Wednesday morning in Benton County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a southbound 2003 Chevy Impala, driven by 31-year-old Tera C. Baker of Warsaw, was on Duran Creek Road, south of Route H at 11:40 a.m., when the vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway, struck a tree and a fence.

Baker suffered minor injuries, while her passenger, 31-year-old Benjamin M. Atwood of Lincoln, suffered moderate injuries. Neither were wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the report.

Atwood was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center by Warsaw-Lincoln Ambulance, and Baker sought her own treatment.
