Two people were injured in a two-vehicle collision that occurred Saturday morning in Henry County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that an eastbound 2023 GMC Terrain, driven by 80-year-old Carol D. Teagarden of Butler, was on the Grand River Bridge on Missouri 18 around 9:20 a.m., when the vehicle crossed the center of the roadway and struck a westbound Jeep Grand Cherokee head on.

The driver of the Jeep, 74-year-old Rickard D. Wombles of Clinton, suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Teagarden suffered serious injuries and was transported by Golden Valley EMS to Research Medical Center.

Both vehicles had extensive damage and were towed from the scene.

Henry County Fire assisted the Patrol.
