Two Sedalia women were injured in a two-vehicle wreck that occurred Friday morning in Pettis County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2017 Jeep Patriot, driven by 72-year-old Judy K. Oakes of Sedalia, attempted to cross US 65 westbound at Sacajawea at 8:45 a.m. and pulled into the path of a southbound 2010 Nissan Rogue, driven by 47-year-old Tammy J. Turner of Sedalia.

Both vehicles traveled off the right side of the roadway before coming to rest.

Oakes and Turner both suffered moderate injuries and were transported by PCAD to Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment.

Oakes was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, while Turner was not.

Both vehicles were totaled and towed from the scene by Don's Truck Towing.
