In most of the restaurants I used to work for, we would give a 10% discount if you showed a military ID. It wasn't much, but it was a small way to say thank you. I suppose the way things are now, if you can save a buck or two here and there, it can all add up.

My father enjoyed fishing when he was alive. My nephew loves it, and I have an uncle and cousin who have taken quite a few trips to Alaska for salmon fishing. Missouri State Parks is inviting veterans to experience the fun of catching fish at Bennett Spring State Park Veterans Free Fishing Day from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 23. Tags can be obtained in the park store, and fishing will begin and end with sirens at the park. If you like trout fishing this could be a fun time, especially if the weather cooperates.
