WAFB Woman injured in Johnson County Accident

A Whiteman AFB airman was moderately injured in a one-vehicle accident that occurred in Johnson County at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday, April 30.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 28-year-old Ashley N. McClung was the driver of a northbound 2003 Acura TL on Missouri 23, north of NE 900th Road, when she failed to negotiate a curve and traveled off the right side of the roadway. The vehicle struck a ditch and returned to the roadway.

McClung suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center by JCAD.

The Acura had minor damage and was towed from the scene.

Johnson County deputies assisted the Patrol at the scene.
