Warrensburg Police officers were dispatched to UMB Bank, located at 414 North Maquire, around 2:15 Thursday afternoon (August 25), for a report of a hold-up alarm.

While responding to the call, that call was updated to a bank robbery. The suspect entered the bank, passed a note to the teller saying he had explosives, and demanded cash. The teller passed the suspect an undetermined amount of cash. The suspect then fled the scene on foot, heading southbound.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6 feet tall, medium to heavy build, in his 50s. He was wearing a white hat, sunglasses, and a camouflage shirt. He had a moustache that appears to be dark in color.

Video surveillance is expected to be available on Friday.
