Warsaw Woman Injured After Dog Jumps On Her

A Warsaw woman was moderately injured Monday when her vehicle crashed in Benton County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 37-year-old Kira G. Koch of Warsaw was the driver of a northbound 2007 Toyota Scion on Route MM, north of Springwood Ave., at 12:35 p.m. Dec. 2 when her dog jumped on her lap, causing her to lose control of the vehicle, which ran off the right side of the road, overcorrected, ran off the left side, hit a ditch, then a fence.

Koch reportedly refused medical treatment at the scene, despite moderate injuries. She was wearing a safety device, according to the report.

The Scion had extensive damage, and was towed from the scene by a private party.
