Warsaw Woman Injured in Cooper County Crash
A Warsaw woman was injured in a Cooper County wreck that took place on I-70 Monday evening.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a westbound 2012 Nissan Titan, driven by 33-year-old Derek T. Kniptash of Woolridge, Mo., failed to secure its load while hauling a trailer on I-70 at the 114 mile marker. The loss of load caused a 2005 Chevy Mailbu, driven by 59-year-old Donnie R. Priesmeyer of Warsaw, to travel off the right side of the roadway, strike a guardrail, cross the roadway and strike median cables around 6 p.m.
57-year-old Paula K. Priesmeyer of Warsaw suffered serious injuries, and was transported by ambulance to MU Hospital in Columbia for treatment. She was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, while both drivers were wearing their seat belt.
The Mailbu was totaled.
