Memorial Day weekend is coming up, and many people will be hitting the road to join in some Memorial Day festivities with their friends and families.  Whether you're heading to a friend's barbecue or attending one of the holiday events downtown, you'll probably be doing some driving this weekend.  Unfortunately, you might be spending quite a bit on gas money to get where you're going.

Gas prices typically rise before Memorial Day weekend, and this year is no exception.  Most gas station prices are nearing $4 a gallon and are showing no signs of going down.  That expensive gas can add up quickly if you're headed out of town for the long weekend.  If you're bringing the boat out to the lake, you'll probably spend a pretty penny filling that gas tank up too.

But you're not going to let a little gas money ruin your holiday plans, are you?  After all, three-day weekends like this are few and far between, and it would be a shame to scrap your plans over the price of gas.  Of course, you can always stay home, fire up the grill tune in to us and enjoy the holiday from the comfort of your own home.
