Just before 1pm Thursday afternoon, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle injury accident on Northeast 101 Road a tenth of a mile North of Highway-52 in Henry County.

According to the report, the accident occurred as a 1999 Ford driven by 21-year-old Maranda K. Spencer of Osceola ran off the roadway. The vehicle then hit an embankment and overturned.

A passenger in the Spencer vehicle, 19-year-old Tasha Sharp, of Clinton received moderate injuries, and was transported by lifeflight Eagle to Research Medical Center for treatment. Spencer was transported to Golden Valley Hospital by Golden Valley EMS for treatment.

The accident report also states neither victim was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
