Sedalia man with 5-active warrants arrested Friday

At 6:16 Friday evening Sedalia Police located a suspect with 5-active warrants in the 300 block of South Engineer. Following confirmation of the warrants 23-year-old Kent LeRoy Cline Jr. of Sedalia was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Bonds on the warrants total $14,000 cash or surety.

Two people arrested for stealing a puppy Sunday morning

Around 11:30 Sunday morning Sedalia Police were dispatched to a residence in the 1100 block of South Harding on a theft complaint. Upon arrival the victim told the officers two-suspects known to them had stolen their puppy. The report states the suspects identified as 18-year-old Christopher Byrd, and 18-year-old Ashley Marie Domingquez both of Sedalia were located and arrested on charges of stealing. Byrd was booked and released with a court date, while Domingquez was in the Pettis County Jail awaiting an additional charge of damage to non-city property.

Sedalia man in jail on a no-bond felony failure to appear warrant

At 4:21 Saturday morning Sedalia Police responded to the 1700 block of South Ohio on a warrant check. Upon arrival officers made contact with 34-year-old Darren Ray Farley of Sedalia. Following confirmation of the warrant Farley was arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail where he was being held without bond at the time of the police report.

27-year-old Sedalia man arrested for 1st degree trespass Saturday

Just before 5pm Saturday afternoon Sedalia Police responded to a burglary complaint in the 500 block of East 5th. Upon arrival the y located the suspect in a vacant house next door to the complainant. Arrested at the scene was 27-year-old Clinton Tyler Clough of Sedalia, and took him to the Pettis County jail where he was placed on 24-hour hold on a charge of 1st degree trespass.

Juvenile placed with Division of Youth Services Sunday night

Around 9:50 Sunday night the Sedalia Police investigated a report of a missing juvenile. The police report states someone had found the girl earlier, but she refused to get into the vehicle. The juvenile was reportedly located near Housel Park, and following a short foot pursuit she was caught and detained. The juvenile was turned over to the Division of Youth Services according to the police report.

18-year-old Sedalia man arrested on an active warrant Friday

At 9:17 Friday morning Sedalia Police conducted a warrant check at Prospect and Pettis. Following confirmation of a warrant for domestic assault, 18-year-old Sherman Lamont Ward of Sedalia was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a $1500 bond.
Sedalia man arrested Sunday morning for violation of a full order of protection

According to a Sedalia Police report around 8:30 Sunday morning 39-year-old Randy Scott Metscher Jr. of Sedalia was arrested for violation of a full order of protection, and a failure to appear warrant. He was placed on 24-hour hold pending formal charges, and a $191.50 cash only bond.

Suspended driver arrested Sunday night at 6th and Engineer

At 10:15 Sunday night Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle at 6th and Engineer with a driver known to be suspended. 51-year-old David Wayne Boggs was arrested and taken to the Pettis County jail where he was booked and released with a court date.

Cat found shot with an arrow Sunday morning

Just after 8 am Sunday morning Sedalia police responded to the 1600 block of East 4th on a cat that was shot through the chest with an arrow. The suspect had not been located at the time of the police report.

Thefts and vandalism cases over the weekend

An X-Box, two controllers, and 5-games were reported stolen in the 400 block of East Saline.

Just before mid-night Sunday night a victim in the 2400 block of West Broadway reported the theft of a Tablet valued at $450 from his unlocked vehicle while the vehicle was parked in the Denny’s Parking Lot.

The Ancient of Days Church located at 1201 South Summit reported someone damaged the covers on two outside vents. Damage estimate was placed at $50.
