Small child found walking by himself at 16th and Beacon

According to a Sedalia Police report the police department received a call regarding a male child walking by himself in the area of 16th and Beacon. An officer was dispatched, and made contact with the child. The officer walked the child home, and had a conversation with the parents of the child about where he was found. The police report also states the “Child Abuse Hotline” was called in the incident.

33-year-old female driver arrested on multiple charges early Sunday morning

Just after 1am Sunday morning Sedalia Police were dispatched to Broadway and Engineer on a vehicle that was sitting in the middle of the intersection. Upon arrival officers found the driver 33-year-old Abigail Imperial of Cole Camp was passed out with the vehicle still in gear. The police report states Imperial was believed to be intoxicated, but refused to allow a blood test at the hospital. Officers got a warrant and the test showed she was intoxicated on drugs. The report also states Imperial attempted to assault a police officer by breaking a chair. At the time of the police report she was on 24-hour hold in the Pettis County jail pending formal charges of 2nd degree assault on a law enforcement officer, escape from custody, driving while intoxicated (Drugs), and 2nd degree property damage.

Sedalia man arrested for driving while intoxicated late Sunday night

At 11:45pm Sunday night Sedalia Police received a call on a driver passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle in a driveway in the 1400 block of South Ohio. Upon arrival officers made contact with the driver, 36-year-old Chad North of Sedalia who was found to be intoxicated. He was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail pending charges of driving while intoxicated persistent offender.

Homeless man arrested Friday night on drug related charges

Around 11:30pm Friday night Sedalia Police attempted to make contact with 24-year-old Vicktor Gregovskyy a homeless person in the 600 block of West 9th.  The police report states Gregovskyy ran from the officer, but was captured a short time later. He was arrested and taken to the Pettis County jail, where he was placed on 24-hour hold pending charges of possession of marijuana, resisting arrest, and tampering with evidence.

45-year-old Sedalia woman arrested for driving while intoxicated Friday night

The Sedalia Police were dispatched to Broadway and Limit to investigate an accident. Upon arrival officers made contact with those involved, and found one of them identified as 45-year-old Trisha L. Cerna Waldo of Sedalia was intoxicated. Waldo was arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail pending formal charges of driving while intoxicated.

Property damage complaint leads to arrest for an 84-year-old man

At 10am Saturday morning Sedalia police investigated a property damage complaint in the 900 block of East 13th. Following an investigation officers arrested 84-year-old William Hanna, who had reportedly backed into the victim’s vehicle damaging the bumper causing damage. The police report states the victim and suspect have had disputes before. Hanna was arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail on charges of public peace disturbance, destruction of non-city property.

17-year-old female arrested Friday evening on assault charges

Just before 5pm Friday evening Sedalia Police responded to the 300 block of West Broadway to investigate an assault. Upon arrival officers met with the victim, who reported an altercation with 17-year-old Cassie Clemmons of Sedalia. Following an investigation Clemmons was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail where she was booked and released with a court date on an assault charge.

Several thefts are reported in Sedalia

Around 9:30pm Friday night a female victim reported $140 cash was taken from her purse, that was in her vehicle. The vehicle was parked in Parkview Elementary School Parking Lot at the time of the theft.

A female victim in the 1800 block of South Stewart reported several items were stolen from her vehicle Saturday, while the vehicle was parked in her driveway.

A bicycle pump was reportedly taken from a front porch in the 300 block of North Park Saturday afternoon.

A wallet was found in the 2200 block of South Grand Saturday afternoon. It was turned into the Sedalia Police Department.
