42-year-old Sedalia man arrested for endangering the welfare of a child

At 7:13 Tuesday night the Sedalia Police responded to a residence in the 2000 block of east 9th on a 911 open line. According to the police report yelling and other disturbances could be heard over the open line indicating someone could be having a problem. Upon arrival officers took statements from those present, and determined that 42-year-old John Phillip Williams of the resident was to be arrested on charges of 3rd degree domestic assault, and endangering the welfare of a child 2nd degree. At the time of the police report Williams was in the Pettis County jail on 24-hour hold pending state charges.
Man with an active warrant found to also be in possession of methamphetamine

Just before 3pm Tuesday morning Sedalia Police made contact with a suspect at a residence in the 900 block of east 13thknown to have an active warrant out of Sedalia. Upon confirmation of the warrant the officer arrested 18-year-old Austin Robert Blankenship of the residence. A subsequent search of Blankenship revealed he was in possession of methamphetamine. He was taken to the Pettis County jail and placed on 24-hpour hold pending state charges.

22-year-old Sedalia man arrested for a parole violation Tuesday night

Around 11pm Tuesday night Sedalia Police conducted a warrant check at a residence in the 1600 block of west 18th. Upon arrival the officer made contact with the suspect identified as 22-year-old Austin Taylor Schoonover. Following confirmation of the warrant for a parole violation Schoonover was arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail where he was being held on the no-bond warrant.

Man walking in the middle of a street issued a summons

At 5:53 Tuesday morning Sedalia Police observed a subject walking in the middle of the roadway at 16th and Collins. The police report states a search of the subject identified as 18-year-old Hakeem Stephon Dickson of Sedalia he was found to be in possession of marijuana. Dickson was issued a summons with a court date according to the police report.

House fire reported on west 3rd Tuesday night

At 11:57 Tuesday night Sedalia Police, and the Sedalia Fire Department responded to a house fire at 712 west 3rd. The police report states the house sustained a significant amount of damage, but there were no injuries reported. The Fire Marshall stated the fire was not being ruled as arson at the time of the report.
