On Saturday morning at approximately 5:30 a.m., Clinton Police were dispatched to the Golden Valley Hospital Emergency Room in reference to a subject who had been a victim of assault.  Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim had suffered a serious head wound that appeared to have been caused by a blunt object.

The victim's girlfriend, 24-year-old Jacquelyn Renee Willig who lives with the victim, stated that after an argument in their residence located at 403 Price Lane Apt. #3, her boyfriend left.  He returned later with the head wound and was disoriented so she brought him to the emergency room.

A search warrant was obtained for the apartment and the investigation there, and further conversation with Willig revealed that the damage to the man had actually been caused by her.  She stated that during an argument, she struck the victim in the head with a heavy glass container.  The victim was airlifted to a metro area hospital for treatment.

Willig was placed under arrest for 24-hour investigation of Domestic Assault in the First Degree and was incarcerated in the Henry County Detention Center with a $100,000 bond.
