Fans of the Ground Zero show got quite the scare last week, when Clyde Lewis was hosting the show and left the radio show suddenly for medical reasons. He has missed shows in the past for medical reasons dealing with a pulmonary embolism in August. He has been recovering in the hospital and issued this statement via the Ground Zero facebook.

I am now home from the hospital. I was asked by my radio company Alpha Broadcasting to provide a doctor's statement as to whether or not I can do my show this Monday. The answer is yes. I know that many of you are concerned about my well being. I would not have worked against a doctor's order. Hospital stays do not provide enough rest and so my problem was rest and adjusting to medications that I am taking to keep healthy. I know also that plenty of people have magic diets and things that they believe help. The reality is that I have a rare genetic disorder that I have to live day by day with. I have been working with doctors a geneticists to help me through this. Rest assured that if I were eating fast food or Big Macs or anything else my heart would have failed me. Sometimes I am stronger in some areas and in others I am weak. Fast food is not my weakness. Coffee is lol. I may have to cut back -- but I won't give it up.. As a matter of fact I am drinking a nutrient enhanced coffee that I think people should try ... i will give you details on where to get it later... in the meantime thank you all for your continued prayers, support , and love. --Clyde
