Two-vehicle accident in Johnson County injures two women

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a two-vehicle injury accident on Route “Y” a half mile East of County Road Southeast 301 in Johnson County at 11:25am Thursday morning. The accident reportedly occurred as the 1992 Chevrolet driven by 60-year-old Rebecca A. Willcockson of Chilhowee slowed near a residence, and the driver of a 2006 Dodge, 34-year-old Jason G. Bowers of Knob Noster attempted to overtake it, just as the Willcockson vehicle began a turn into a private drive. The Bower’s vehicle struck the Wilcockson vehicle causing both vehicles to travel off the roadway. Wilcockson, and a passenger in the Bower’s vehicle, Samantha J. Bowers of Knob Noster suffered moderate injuries. Wilcockson was taken to Lees Summit by Johnson County EMS, and Bowers was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center by Johnson County EMS for treatment.

Arctic Cat accident injures a Sedalia woman Thursday afternoon

At 2:40pm Thursday afternoon the Missouri state Highway Patrol reported an ATV accident on Raines Road South of Route “J” in Pettis County. According to the report the accident happened as the 2009 Arctic Cat driven by 31-year-old Jessica M. Valentine of Sedalia was exiting a creek on a steep incline, when the vehicle overturned onto Valentine. The injuries reported were minor, but Valentine was taken to University Hospital by Pettis County Ambulance for treatment. The Arctic Cat was driven from the scene.
