Lamonte teen injured in a two-vehicle accident in Pettis County Tuesday morning

Just after 8am Tuesday morning the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported an injury accident on US-50 Highway at Route “T” in Pettis County. The accident reportedly occurred as the 1999 Dodge Durango driven by 17-year-old Thomas L. Meyer of Lamonte pulled into the path of the 2013 Ford F150 driven by 40-year-old Richard S. Lemmings of Sedalia, causing the Lemmings vehicle to strike the Meyer vehicle. Meyer who was not wearing a seat belt received minor injuries in the crash, and was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center by Pettis County EMS for treatment. Both vehicles sustained extensive damage in the wreck.

16-year-old suffers minor injuries Monday in a Johnson County accident

Around 6:50 Monday evening the Missouri State Highway patrol, and the Johnson County Sheriff’s Department reported a one-vehicle accident in Johnson County involving a 16-year-old Leeton male. According to the report the accident happened as the 2009 Chevrolet Malibu driven by 16-year-old Dakota L. Wilson of Leeton travelled off the roadway, struck an embankment, went airborne, struck a second embankment, and a storage facility, before coming to rest. Wilson was wearing a seatbelt, and suffered only minor injuries. He was taken to Western Missouri Medical Center for treatment by private vehicle. The accident report also states the vehicle was totaled, and was towed from the scene.
