5-People including two 3-year-olds injured in a Saline County Accident Sunday Afternoon

At 2:15 Sunday afternoon the Missouri State Highway Patrol, assisted by the Saline County Sheriff’s Office, along with Slater and Marshall EMS reported a one-vehicle accident on 260th Road two-tenths of a mile west of Missouri Highway 240 in Saline County. The accident reportedly occurred a s the 2001 Ford Explorer driven by 32-year-old  Christopher E. Edmonds of  Marshall lost control of his vehicle after striking a series of potholes. The vehicle skidded off the roadway, and struck a tree stump. Edmonds, and two 3-year-old  female children were not wearing seat belts suffered serious injuries, and were life flighted to the University Medical Center in Columbia for treatment. 31-year-old Ashley K Edmonds, and a 12-year-old male child were wearing seatbelts, and received minor injuries, and were taken to the medical center by private conveyance for treatment.

49-year-old Motorcycle rider seriously injured Saturday in Benton County

Around 5:30pm Saturday evening the driver of a 2006 Harley Davidson Motorcycle, 49-year-old Dennis D. Stoneking of Chillhowee suffered serious injuries in a motorcycle accident on Highway 52 at Eckhoff Road in Benton County. According to the Missouri State Highway patrol Report the accident occurred as the motorcycle ran off the roadway, struck and embankment, became airborne, and struck a parked 2002 Cadillac. Stoneking was ejected from the motorcycle, and was transported to the University of Missouri Hospital by Life Flight Eagle for treatment of his injuries.

18-year-old male victim injured in a Lafayette County accident Saturday afternoon

According to a Missouri State Highway patrol accident report at 12:45pm Saturday afternoon three vehicles were involved in an accident on Eastbound I-70 at mile-marker 59 in Lafayette County. The accident happened according to the report as a 2002 Ford Mustang driven by 18-year-old Jesse E. Talley of Florissant attempted to overtake a 2010 Volkswagen Tiguan driven by 48-year-old Juses Chavez-Ortiz of Denver Colorado, and struck it, and a 2000 Freightliner driven by Robert P. Penner of Hillsboro Kansas in the rear. The Talley Vehicle reportedly was overturning, and came to rest on the shoulder of the Westbound lane. Talley was not wearing a seat belt and received moderate injuries in the crash. He was taken to the I-70 Community Hospital by Concordia EMS for treatment.
