86-year-old Green Ridge man injured in a Pettis County accident Friday

 

At 3:10pm Friday afternoon the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle injury accident on Route “E” and Mergen Road in Pettis County. The accident occurred as the 2003 Lincoln Towncar driven by 86-year-old Myron E Potts of Green Ridge ran off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected and then ran off the roadway again, causing the vehicle to overturn coming to rest on its top. Potts suffered serious injuries in the crash, and was transported to University Hospital in Columbia by Staff for Life Air Ambulance for treatment.

 

Pettis County accident injures three people Monday night

 

Just after 8pm Monday night a two-vehicle accident injures two Sedalia men, and a Kansas City man. The accident reportedly occurred as a 1997 Chevrolet Silverado driven by 66-year-old Stephen N.  Cook of Sedalia was Southbound in the 5500 block of US. 65 Highway. The Cook vehicle was struck by a 1995 Ford F-150 driven by 36-year-old Raymond J. Calore of Kansas City Missouri as it exited a parking lot to go north. Cook and Calore received minor injuries in the accident, and were transported to Bothwell Hospital for treatment. A passenger in the Calore vehicle identified as 49-year-old Esther L. Rickey of Sedalia left the scene before treatment could be administered.

 

Two 16-year-old males injured in a Lafayette County accident Monday morning

 

Around 7:30am Monday morning two Concordia teens received minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident on Missouri Route “AA” West of Beckner Road in Lafayette County. According to the Missouri State Highway patrol accident report the accident happened as the 1988 Chevrolet driven by 16-year-old Tommy E. Bermudez of Concordia ran off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected and crossed the centerline then ran off the left side of the roadway, where the vehicle struck a ditch and a tree, totaling the vehicle. Neither Bermudez or his passenger 16-year-old Wade E. Heimsoth also of Concordia were wearing their seat belts, and suffered minor injuries in the crash. Both victims were transported to the I-70 Community Medical Center in Sweet Springs for treatment.

 

Missouri State Highway Patrol reports an injury accident in Lafayette County Saturday

 

At 10:30am Saturday morning the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a rollover accident, that occurred on Coal Mine Road ¾ of a mile north of Dover Bluff Road in Lafayette County. The accident occurred as the driver of a 2006 Dodge 29-year-old Courtney R. Countess of Lexington failed to negotiate a right hand turn, ran off the roadway and overturned. Countess and his passenger 16-year-old Kristopher C. Countess also of Lexington both received minor injuries, and was taken to Lafayette Regional in Lexington for treatment.
